Janelle and Brad are getting Married! (London Ontario Wedding Photographer)

He is a craftsman in woodworking and she is a musician – an extremely talented pianist. Complete opposites…and apparently, what they say is true, opposites do attract. They met when she was in first year university. Janelle didn’t have a car and need a ride to church on Sundays….Brad volunteered for the job :). Every other Sunday he would drive out of his way to pick her up and accompany her to church. He never complained about it however, and was always eager to see Janelle and spend time with her.  They got to know each other well during those drives and towards the end of the school year, after Janelle had run out of her meal plan money, Brad started asking her out to dinner….she couldnt’ refuse! They really didn’t start dating till that first year of school was over for Janelle – dating officially, that is. They had become best friends without even realizing it. Over time they had fallen deeply in love, purchased a house together and ‘flipped’ it and, in the kitchen of that house, Brad surprised Janelle by asking her to be his wife.

Janelle and Brad will be married at the gorgeous Bellamere Winery In London Ontario this summer where family and friends will gather to celebrate their wedding day with them.

Tracy Bultje in the Window at ARTspace (Chatham-Kent Lifestyle Photographer)

I visited my sister and artist, Tracy Bultje last week as she is the featured artist to paint in the front window at ARTspace here in Chatham Ontario. It was a pleasure to watch her create her masterpiece and be able to photograph her while she painted. She offered me lunch – egg salad on rye – how sweet is that?  Here are a few of the photos I took of her while she worked. Thank you Tracy for sharing your talent with Chatham-Kent!

Angie & Jevin are getting Married! (Chatham-Kent Ontario Wedding Photographer)

He call’s her ‘bud’. They’re so cute. The way he pinches her chin and kisses her nose…the way she smiles shyly at him….

It began in 2011 – their relationship. Even though they lived a stones throw from each other on the same country block for years their paths never crossed until then.

One day Angie came home with arms full of groceries – oblivious to the fact that the house was wide open and the doors were unlocked, she made her way into the house and up the stairs. She never noticed the pictures that Jevin had meticulously set up on each step – so carefully placed as an introduction to the red yarn that was strung through her entire house. She realized something was ‘up’ and followed the yarn to a note which said that she had ten minutes to get ready then to continue following the string. The string led her to a limousine driver who then took her to a park. From there she was instructed to follow a candlelit path. She followed the path until she saw Jevin waiting for her on a bridge overlooking the river. When she looked up at him he was holding two signs. One Pioneer sign and one Dekalb seed sign ( as they both grew different corn varieties and had a little competition going on). Jevin then flipped the signs over (accidentally backwards) and she read the words ‘Marry me , Will you?’

Angela, of course said yes to the love of her life and they look forward to living the life that God has planned for them as husband and wife.
